Janine Chang and I did this for Maija's Flash class. This is the first time I'm using Flash to animate. I had some difficulties, but it all went through, and learned a lot. Thank you Maija.

Title Sequence Concept for the Black Swan

Here are some images I made for the Flash class project. We asked to do a short animation of a movie title sequence, and my group choose the Black Swan.

The first exercise I did at Lisa's Visual Development class. Expressing emotions through abstracted shapes (happy, passion, rage, sad, apathy, tranquility). Lisa said, the visual images should communicate to the audience in seconds. I think this is a great way to practice that.

This is my second year film~! Thank you, all the CalArts faculty's help and support. I really enjoy the making process, full of excitement and struggle. I learned a lot by making one. I also find out my weakness. So, I will improve myself and make a much better film next year~!

Transform

Recently I kind of getting a mood of drawing butterfly. I think it's amazing how carpenter-worms can transform into beautiful butterflies. It is just like the ugly duckling turns into beautiful swan.  I wish I could transform into a useful and successful artist after years of learning and practicing.

Sometimes tears are just not simply equal to sorrow. It may become our sweetest moment of our lives.
